Editor review

Wire Pincer is a wave shooter with a cover mechanic. Behind cover, your shield regenerates one bar per second. The cover positions rotate every five waves and force you to relearn the map at regular intervals.

The cover rotation is the design choice that defines the format. Without it, the game becomes a camping problem; with it, the game becomes a positioning problem. The rotation pace is well-tuned; five waves is enough to learn the cover layout and not enough to settle into a fixed strategy.

Played over a Belfast Belfast Glider commute and a long evening. Each run runs around fifteen to twenty-five minutes at the mid-tier.

The weak spot is the cover hitbox. The hitbox is sometimes generous; the player thinks they are exposed but they are still behind cover, and vice versa. A clearer visual indicator for shielded-versus-exposed would help. Three-and-a-half stars overall.
